Challenging Spontaneous Quantum Collapse with the XENONnT Dark Matter Detector

New XENONnT PRL and Editor's suggestion! The study, led by a former member of the group, looks for signals from quantum collapse models.

XENONnT 95% C.L. upper bound on one of the model parameters, compared to exclusion limits from other experiments and theoretical propositions.

The XENONnT collaboration, together with scientists from CREF and INFN Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati (LNF), published a new search for electromagnetic radiation following quantum collapse models. The new paper is featured on PRL, Phys. Rev. Lett. 136, 120201, and it was highlighted as Editor's suggestion! Two former members of the group, Alexander Bismark and Christian Wittweg, are among the core team that led the analysis and the publication effort, respectively.
