Our DARWIN team completed another important milestone in the construction of the full-length DARWIN demonstrator.
Last week we installed the cryogenic tower, which houses the systems that allows us to liquefy the xenon and keep it cold in a controlled way. The construction of the cryogenic tower followed the meticulous design made by Frédéric Girard as a part of his PhD thesis work. With this step the entire cryogenic system is assembled and we are ready to start the commissioning of the full-length DARWIN demonstrator facility.
