For his bachelor thesis, Yuri characterized new photomultiplier tubes for DARWIN. For his master thesis, he rejoined the group, this time for LEGEND. There, he develops and tests new data-analysis techniques, also including machine learning methods. The ultimate goal is to find methods that allow for a better discrimination between signal and background.
In his free time, Yuri enjoys hiking, running and cycling. He is also a big fan of fantasy and science-fiction, and has recently started with photography.
