Paloma studied physics at the University of Guanajuato and completed her master's degree with a thesis on the design and simulation of a small solid chamber prototype for photon detection. She spent a summer in DESY as a summer student, where she worked on particle acceleration simulations.
She's mainly interested in neutrino physics and dark matter searches with cryogenic liquid detectors; she enjoy understanding nature's fascinating properties through the design of detection instruments.
Besides physics she enjoy music, literature, running and spending time with her family.
