Gabriela joined the group after obtaining her MSc degree from the Technical University of Munich. There, she worked on fluorescence measurements of materials used in dark-matter detectors and was a collaborator of the DEAP-3600 Experiment. During her PhD at UZH, she worked on several experiments related to neutrinoless double beta decay (GERDA, LEGEND and Monument). In these experiments, she worked with both data analysis and R&D of detector parts and materials. Towards the end of her PhD she joined PALEOCCENE, a collaboration that aims to develop particle detectors readout by fluorescence microscopy. Currently a postdoc at UZH, she dedicates her efforts to PALEOCCENE. Beyond physics, she enjoys music, books, cycling, swimming, traveling, and spending time with friends.
