Florian joined the group as postdoctoral researcher in July 2024. Before that, he studied in Karlsruhe (BSc) and Heidelberg (MSc & PhD) in Germany. In his past research at the Max-Planck-Insitut for nuclear physics, he was focusing on the measurement and mitigation of radon backgrounds in current and future liquid xenon detectors used for the dark matter hunt. He is an active member of the XENON and DARWIN collaborations, while for the former he is currently holding the position as the analysis coordinator.
In his spare time, Florian enjoys the outdoor world on his bike or by going on camping trips.
