- Senior researcher

Chiara obtained her bachelor and master degrees from the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, working on direct measurement of neutrino mass. She then moved to Zurich for her PhD where she worked on the XENON dark matter experiment within the Baudis group at UZH, focusing on the double weak decay searches and the light calibration system for the upgrade of the experiment. She spent three years as a postdoc at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the USA working on double beta decay with the CUORE experiment and on the design and development of the multiplexing readout of transition edge sensors for CUPID.
In April 2024 she moved back to the University of Zurich with an Ambizione grant, working again on XENON and on R&D for Darwin, a next-generation dark matter and weak decays observatory. In her free time Chiara enjoys traveling, sports, spending time with friends and trying new food.
