The International Masterclasses offer a day-long insight into current research in elementary particle physics. After an introduction to the world of the smallest building blocks of our universe, original data from the CMS experiment, one of the experiments at CERN's LHC accelerator, will be analysed.
The masterclass is aimed at high-school students from the 10th to 12th school year, preferably with a scientific profile or otherwise very interested in physics.
Students can come individually or in smaller groups. A teacher does not necessarily have to be present, but physics teachers are also very welcome
