28.06.2021New paper on the sensitivity of the SHiP experiment to Light Dark Matter

A Collaboration paper has been published recently in the Journal for High Energy Physics and available at this link. The study is based on the work done by members of this group in collaboration with the colleagues of INFN Naples and the UZH theory group. The potential of the SHiP experiment is assessed for light dark matter particles produced in the decays of a dark photon. The findings of this paper are promising: the SHiP experiment not only exceeds by orders of magnitudes the current experimental limits but also will might probe most of the hypothesis on the origin of Dark Matter.
