Previously, as a tenured scientist at Fermilab, he was the leader of the Higgs-boson search group at the CDF II experiment, and also co-founded the DAMIC experiment. As a postdoctoral researcher with the Ohio State University, he developed novel algorithms to search for the Higgs boson, and helped design and build a hardware-level, 3-D global track trigger for the CDF II experiment. As a PhD student at the University of Rochester, he studied the first top-quark events, discovered by the CDF experiment.
